Sometimes a paint color just runs its course. What was once a solid choice starts to look tired, dated, or just not quite right anymore. That's exactly where this home was - a dark slate blue that had done its job, but the homeowners were ready for something fresh. Something that felt more like them.

We went full exterior on this one. Siding, trim, porch railings, the front door, the garage - everything got attention. The new color palette is a warm off-white body with dark charcoal trim and a bold black door. It's a clean, modern look that completely changes the feel of the home the moment you pull up. The difference front-to-back is night and day.

The prep work is where a paint job either holds up or falls apart. We masked off windows throughout the whole house, worked around patio furniture and landscaping, and made sure every surface was ready before a brush or roller ever touched it. No shortcuts. The trim lines on the window casings, porch columns, and railings are tight and clean - that's not an accident, it's just how we work.

Color choices like this - light body, dark accents - are having a real moment right now, and it's easy to see why. The contrast makes architectural details pop in a way that a single-color scheme never could. Every board and batten panel on the upper gable, every porch post, every window surround reads crisp and intentional.

Results like this are what happen when you treat prep and detail work as seriously as the paint itself. A good exterior paint job isn't just about color - it protects the siding, seals out moisture, and holds up for years when it's done right. That's the standard we hold ourselves to on every job.
